Life Technology
Life Technology is a modern synthesis of knowledge based on experience of life.
It has sources in many different traditions, cultures and philosophies, but what marks it out from a traditional academic subject is the constant focus on ‘what really works’.
It has a strong foundation in traditional Chinese knowledge about natural health and longevity. It shares ground with modern methodologies for reaching wealth and success. It reflects current thinking in the field of Positive Psychology. It represents the essence of all the world’s major religions on the value of serving other people before oneself. But above all, Life Technology is an exploration of life itself.
Students of Life Technology are students of life. Through their own example, and the examples of others, and under the guidance of experienced teachers, they are exploring the principles of life to see how they apply in reality.
You cannot learn life from a book - you learn it by living. You can improve the quality of your life when you have a chance to reflect and consider what you most value and what you most want in life. Once these are clear you can learn from many different sources, both modern and traditional, how to achieve what you want and represent the values you most respect.
Technology is the ‘application of science’. Life Technology is the application of scientific knowledge about life. Today’s science is increasing rapidly in its scope and understanding of life. Ecologists are describing the interdependence of species; theoretical physicists are researching the energetic nature of the universe; psychologists are investigating the nature of happiness; economists can show us the principles of wealth; and philosophy explores the nature of morality.
The essential principles of life are the essential principles of nature. They are generally simple, practical and above all they work. When young people learn through experience to reach goals, develop health and happiness, relate well with other people, be determined, persistent and strong and have an inner sense of morality they are well equipped for the reality of life.
