Natural Relaxation
Career Design Programme

Natural Relaxation

Whatever you do and whoever you are it is important to relax and rest your mind regularly. This speeds up your work performance and helps you to stay calm at all times. It also makes you naturally healthier. When you are relaxed you can achieve more with less effort.

This course consists of 8 x 20 minute recordings, with voice and music, each introducing you to a different aspect of relaxation. Simply listening to any of these recordings leads you into a state of natural relaxation, where you completely let go of all thoughts and worries and recharge your batteries.

Relaxation is ideal preparation for any time when you need to perform at optimum capacity – whether for meetings, exams, interviews, busy times at work or special events. When the mind and body are relaxed it is much easier to perform under pressure.

Most people do not know how to relax effectively, so this course teaches you the basics through recordings which you can use again and again to help you relax deeply whenever you want.

Career Design Programme

The Career Design Programme is a powerful new approach to career planning. Instead of focusing only on the next few years of your life it takes you step by step through a process of discovering your true life goal so you can plan a career that is really satisfying in the long term. It helps you uncover many secrets about yourself that have a surprising influence on your career patterns. It gives you the tools to be realistic about who you are and what you really want so you can make sure you take the essential steps and don’t waste time and energy going in the wrong direction.

Why design a career?
We usually design things to make them look or work better than if they are just left to develop naturally. Career design uses the most advanced techniques and has been developed with young people to suit the needs of the present generation. It is made for the 21st Century, based on the expectation that most people will have three or even more careers and will live much longer than today, meaning we will work longer and retire later – this is even more reason for making wise decisions now!

How to do it?
The Career Design Programme is an 8 week distance learning programme, which you can do from home or work. It consists of a weekly assignment which you complete in an online workbook (downloaded from the website). Each assignment is accompanied by a webpage with detailed information on the topic of the week and a series of recorded interviews with the course designers to help you work through the course.

What is in the programme?
There are 8 steps to designing your career.

1. The surprising influence of your parents’ genes, expectations, careers and behaviour patterns on your career.
2. The influence of your background, upbringing, education and experience on your view of life and how it can affect your future career.
3. Discovering your natural potential and any hidden potential.
4. Uncovering your life goal, so you can make sure your career choices take you where you really want to go.
5. Developing career goals for your whole life – not just for the next few years.
6. Life analysis – an honest look at your key strengths and weaknesses and learn how to predict and prevent potential problems with health, relationships and money that could affect your career development.
7. Plan your future by understanding clearly where you are now and where you want to get to. Identify all your needs for education/training, experience and preparation to ensure you reach your goals.
8. Identify the key characteristics of successful people and find support people to help you when things get tough, get real and get ready to go.
